The Kirkhill Astronomical Pillar

The Earl of Buchan had this astronomical pillar built. It has carved Latin inscriptions and astronomical equations, along with a belltower and cross.

Just up the road is a sculpture representing the planet Uranus, which forms part of the Kirkhill Pillar Project. A community art project of a scale model of the Solar System that is set in West Lothian.
