Can't beat a bit of celebrity, eh? This pony is arguably the most famous pony in the world (certainly in the UK) at the moment. In case you don't recognise him 'in the flesh', this is Socks, the dancing pony from a certain advert that went viral recently. He was visiting our annual Lifeboat gala (Aith is the furthest north lifeboat station in the UK), and was very modestly standing on a patch of long grass, waiting for the world to come to him. He did do a bit of pretty spectacular rearing when the helicopter went over, on its way to exercise with the lifeboat.

This blip is at the request of Elsie, who actually took the photo (I was supervising). I should have got her to do the write up too - probably been more interesting.
