Walnut

Felled walnuts do not want to die and grow back with wonderful vigor. I went round pruning all sorts of fruit trees and this one in the boiling heat of middle evening. And thinning out apples on our old trees. As the drought grips I hope that reduced leaf cover puts less strain on trees not equipped to deal with extreme heat.

The bedroom is up to a steady 27C so fan is essential. Although the temp drops to 20C outside enticing the cooler air into the house is not easy.
