Oh Happy Day.......

When I got up this morning I found 2 slugs on the patio door (one at the top and one at the bottom) ...... messy creatures.

When I went to put some rubbish out I saw that the early sun was lighting the seedheads and a couple of flowers (there are 3 mores shots of flowers and 2 of Hosta leaves) 

SWMBO and I went off for our 'Afternoon Tea' at the "Scottish Tea House" (at lunch time) outside Lesmahagow (in the middle of nowhere).
We were shown their tee plants and had the history of tea (and lots more) given to us before we sat down to the most delicious treats. During the course of it we were treated to 3 different teas (a white one, a mild green and a black (breakfast) one). Each one was served twice as a second infusion thus increasing the flavour.
I suspect we will be back.

On the way home we stopped at a garden centre and bought some seeds, potting compost and biodegradable pots ......... I am living in hope.

I started doing some weeding and got distracted by the Pollen Beetles.
After fighting to get any shots (it was kind of breezy) I then came across the newt. That made me really happy - knowing that we have newts as well of frogs (and I am sure I saw damsel fly larvae in the pond the other day.
