Inspired by a dead tree.

I guess that, when this tree was alive, it was part of Rayrigg woods. When the tree surgeons were working in the field recently, they left this tree standing. It is certainly dead, but I have no doubt that it is hosts to whole variety of insects and birds. I’m pleased it wasn’t ‘tidied up’.
