Watching swifts

Recently I met a woman, through the local swift conservation group, who has two pairs of swifts nesting under the eaves of her house. She - Cath -  and I spent a companionable hour or so tonight, trying to get photos of the parent birds as they dashed in and out of the nest. My best shot features half a swift - I guess it's a start :-)
As a bonus, I discovered that Cath's day job, in teaching is Safeguarding lead at the comprehensive school both Jack and Ruth went to. We had a good chat about schools, inspection regimes and recent hard times.
