Eco-home

This term's DT project has been designing an eco-home and then building this model of it. The house has a wooden frame, and he really enjoyed the wood working. His design includes an area of green growing roof, solar panels, a large water butt, a pond and a stream, a veg patch, trees and an underground fridge. He said he wanted to add a wind turbine but hadn't worked out how.
