Precious market

Another fresh early morning dog walk.

Put a washing load on as the breezy day dried it well.

Learned that Derek from The Earth's Crust baked goods market stall had relinquished his stall.  I felt very sad about that.  No more croissants, pesto cheese twists, vegetable tarts, thousand seed loaves and much more.  He was finding it difficult to make ends meet with the chain Gail's bakery and local Stir bakery shops opening the competition must have made it very difficult.  

Derek was a great market character.  He knew many of the academics who bought from him and many regulars he enjoyed a chat with.  He will be missed.

Made a pasta sauce after lunch. Took hound for a second walk.  Now to get dinner ready.
