Strolled through fields all wet with rain
and back along the lane again,
in the sweet sunshine, in the summertime,
the way young lovers do.
This is the Glasgow Vennel in Irvine, one of the many historical hotspots of the town. It was along here the Rabbie Burns lived while he plied his trade of flax-dressing in the town, there is a plaque on one of the houses marking his lodgings.
Back to work this morning after a nice wee week off.
