PERTH MINT

This morning we visited The Perth Mint with Angus and Scarlett.
It was founded as a colonial branch of Britain’s Royal Mint. Original purpose was to refine gold discovered in Western Australia’s goldfields and turn it into bullion bars and sovereign coins. Today the Mint is owned by WA.

We saw the Newmont Normandy Nugget 25.5kg (extras) , a gold pour into a 6kg bar of gold, the largest gold coin in the world (1,020kg) was on display and the Sydney Olympic gold medal was minted in Perth, silver and bronze medals at the Mint in Canberra.

Straight lines in the Mint’s facade for today’s challenge. Thanks Bob.
