In hortus
Didn’t sleep well for some reason, suspect the radio stayed on after the episode I was listening to finished. After breakfast (a giant crumpet - not had one of those before but tasty!) I pootled in the garden for a while. I was pleased that the hanging baskets I’d helped plant up are doing well.
Down to P’s afterwards…managed to stop to let a mother duck lead her little brood across the road and the driver coming the other way waved and smiled at me as if we were some sort of superheroes after the last baby had jumped into the hedge safely.
P a little better today but still in pain from his tummy but we managed to get a phone consultation with the GP and he had some lunch. Physio turned up and managed to get him standing and sitting in a chair which was good and he was making jokes about being nearly ready to take on Jokovitch at Wimbledon.
Left him with a cup of tea and watching the tennis and drove to K’s where we drank tea, ate home made malt loaf, chatted to O about Otis and his gardening, walked to his allotment to pick raspberries for dessert and tasted lots of other things too (some delicious fruits!).
Back for delicious roast chicken supper followed by the raspberries and cream. K looking at trips to Lapland with the granddaughters and we chatted about birthdays and air fryers and festivals in both MK and Edinburgh.
