And there was certainly plenty of it when I popped into Loughborough during my lunch hour to get a birthday card for a pal. A fabulous downpour.

Fortunately I had my brolly, the poor person who came into Waterstones after me was not so fortunate but they seemed in good spirits despite being drenched.

Summer rain, it can't be beat!
