Hypericum pulchrum

Slender St John's-wort.
Steady rain for a while lady night but dry this morning. Breakfast, laundry on the line, I wandered up to the plot. Bobby Robin arrived for his seeded batch crumbs with a sprinkle of songbird seed mix. Picked peas & courgettes, fresh mint, pulled rhubarb, cut anemones, pinched out side shoots on tomato plants, pulled a few bolted lettuce, dropped them across for Julie's hens to munch on.
Dropped the plot bounty back home along with my wellies, then walked up to fetch the newspaper. Grabbed a bag od pumpkin seed topped bread rolls from the community fridge (great for making stuffing). Still time to kill before walking Indie so juggled my potted hardy plants, draining the trays of water. Brought my young Canna plants out from the greenhouse, something is beginning to munch the leaves, not slugs or snails. I need to do some Googling.
Down to CK, walked Indie around the heath, plenty of this pretty Hypericum popping up. I love the reddish buds.
Back at Mum's I pruned a few shrubs to tidy them up & hopefully make a better shape. Mum was fiddling with the bunch of anemones. The stems are all different lengths now so not as easy to arrange but Mum always finds a way to make them look perfect. :-) She was waiting for Andy the mobile fishmonger to call yesterday. He calls on Tuesdays. We discussed fish as she did'nt enjoy last week's purchase. I saw Andy in Chudleigh, bought a piece of cod for our dinner, & explained to Andy that Mum is getting a little confused. He had plenty of scallops, & plaice fillets, both of which she normally enjoys so hope she chose one or the other when he called on her.
Brilliant women's tennis this afternoon, now watching Rublev v Djokovic.

I've been playing cd's while driving... Today it was Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms.
