The Neverending Story
My German language learning friend Heidi recommended that I try reading some books by Michael Ende. So, I've got Momo on my Kindle and I really enjoyed the scene where all the children are playing together during a thunderstorm.
The Neverending Story was a bit more of a puzzle: the Kindle edition is very dear, and lacks the colours of the printed version. So, I bought the hardback from World of Books, and I've ordered the English paperback version to help me read it. The two together cost less than the German Kindle version.
The hardback was advertised as in "Very Good" condition, and apart from the slightest creasing on the dust jacket, and a tiny mark across the top of the pages of the closed book, it is like new. I've seen books that are tattier on sale as new in bookshops, when they've been on the shelves for a while.
For some reason this has me very excited.
