Parched

Hot weather continues, what little rain there is soon soaks away. The water level in the inlet is now very low, exposing more of the fallen tree than usual. The broken limbs and branches provide convenient perches for the birds wanting a drink. Hopefully below the algae and duckweed they can find water. There was not much activity this evening, save for this red-winged blackbird pecking away at the water's edge.
