Oh noooooooooooo part 3.....

We (Liphook Under 15s) had a 28 over friendly against Hambledon this morning. I think we all prefer playing longer games than the 20 overs stipulated by the League.

Great great team effort, and a wonderful game to watch. Son numberone took 1-8 off 2 overs, and when batting was just beginning to look settled when he was bowled by a ball that didn't bounce for 7.

Son numbertwo let himself bowl 3 overs and although he finished with a perfectly respectable 2-17, his figures after his second over were 2-5! This photo shows him getting bowled for yet another duck. With a bit more knocking he will be able to use his new bat in next game. I have a theory that his poor form this season has been caused by him having grown and his old bat being too small for him. This was a well bowled Yorker than sneaked underneath his bat which could bear that theory out. No doubt we will find out soon!
