Christmas Pudding or Cannon Ball

I used a plastic container as a mould for this piece, one that had sat at the back of the fridge for far too long with the last slice of a Christmas pudding in it.  Two identical half spheres, joined then carved, the overlapping circles marked out using a cookie cutter that was conveniently the perfect size.  I jokingly referred to it as the cannon ball at first but I'm very pleased with the little pseudo-gothic vase.  A slight cheat blip-wise as only the finished article pic is from today.   It's taken a few weeks to go through the making process.

A tiring day.  Not enough sleep, a wet drive to Welshpool and back.  Ruth and all her stuff, safely returned now to Birmingham for a while.  She's hoping to come back for blackberry picking time at the end of August.  Meg had a run this evening between the showers that keep on coming.  I'm hoping for a good, long, restorative sleep to set me in better shape for whatever tomorrow brings.
