Hot

I think it got to 25 degrees this afternoon, the laundry dried in an hour. Which was just as well. The long-promised rain has arrived, thunder followed by a steady downpour. Luckily, I picked the sweet peas, and weeded a bit of the bank this morning. 

My sweet-pea seeds failed this year - I guess they were too old. I bought a pot of mixed seedlings at the nursery, which had the surprise element. They maybe aren't quite what I'd have chosen - I like the lavender and blue shades, but they do smell good.
