Enjoying the ride?

Spent the day back at the first school I ever did supply in. Nice school but had the usual couple of snarky smarty-pantses.

Student, having been asked three times to put her gum in the bin: ‘Why do I have to put my gum in the bin?’

Me: ‘Firstly, because you know it’s not allowed in school. Secondly, because it’s like I’m watching a herd of cows chewing the cud.’

Student: ‘Are you calling us cows?’

Me: ‘No, it was a simile.’

I saw this sign when I stopped off for a coffee on my way in and, as suspected, didn’t really see anything else better to blip during the day! Made me simile smile, anyway!
