Players please

A literal one for this weeks mono monday - signs.
But also a sign of the times. 70 or so years ago Players was one of the biggest companies in  Nottingham, England. All my mothers family worked there - well it was either that or Raleigh if you were a Nottinghamian. And it was cool! During the war all the soldiers wanted to be with a Players girl.
Some of the old building (from 1877) is there but has been converted into student accommodation. Now owned by British American tobacco it is still part of the largest cigarette manufacturer in the world and is apparently very popular in Pakistan.
