"Those were the days..."

We had a delightful Sunday lunch with some very old friends in Linlithgow today including two former colleagues from the Glasgow Herald,
John Fowler and Lesley Duncan.
 
We agreed beforehand there would be no mention of ailments, one of the perennial problems when people of a certain age gather together.
 
It came as no surprise we all still read newspapers everyday though they were horrified to learn that I am dabbling in A.I. both text and images.


As for journalism  we  agree  we had worked in newspapers during the best of times.
