The end of 'Fort Finn'

A sad day. The Fort that was built 10 years ago from scrap wood, met its demise today. No longer used, but loved so much for many years as a den, with a flagpole, fold down table, exit hatch and periscope. A great spot for nerf gun or water fights and for some time covered in cargo netting. He was the 'cool' kid when friends came over, always wanting to play in the Fort. He also used to hang his canvas pod on the outside and spend hours reading. If the flagpole was still up, it would be flying at half mast today.
Today FK and friends were indoors all afternoon, listening to their music and playing warhammer. Oh how times have changed.

In other news, I found the caterpillars that were having a good old munch on the rose leaves and picked them off one by one. Very satisfying!
And the shed got a good clear out, so the lawnmower that was under the fort, has a new home!
