Afghan Coat

I had aspired when I was younger to own an Afghan coat, I never got one but it occured to me today as my son flew out to Afghanastan with the RAF, that was the only reference (if indeed it was) to this troubled country from my youth.
The spectre of his current deployment has been with us mostly unspoken for the last couple of years, and I did ask him to get me a coat while he was out there, although the latest news is that they've stopped making them, although how he new that before he arrived I'll never know.
