First Week
In Bridport after Mass, Mrs B visiting FatFace in the (vain) hope of finding summer dresses that would suit her, I saw this new shop. It turns out to be part of the Brassica group in Beaminster, but it was good to see that the first week had been a success (Extra).
This afternoon contained a little excitement. Mrs B was in the garden when she heard, "Help me!" coming from over the hedge. I was summoned and we traipsed around a bit until we found a lady in a field who had fallen while trying to move a deer carcass. She had been concerned at its proximity to a water course (it would be good if more people were concerned at contaminating water) and had taken a tumble.
Our physical help wasn't necessary, but we were able to provide a little moral support and a comforting cup of tea. And we had the opportunity to learn more about her, a very interesting person who studied Japanese at SOAS in London; it turns out that my little bit of Japanese makes no sense at all! Oh well . . .
