Tea on the terrace with the first tranche of15 guests here for a family gathering this weekend.

Meanwhile E is extracting all the exhausted ox-eye daisies from the bank, delighting in just how much fresh planting and colour is coming up to replace them.  I'm gradually having words with the large green beech which is beginning to encroach on the bank planting and obscuring some of the sightlines.
