Looks like it's going to be a good harvest.
Back home and looking around the garden, between the rain showers. While the blackberry canes were in flower the sun shone day after day, and there were bees and other pollinators working away 24 hours a day. Meanwhile we were giving the roots a good watering. Here is the result. You can't count your berries until they are picked but it's looking very hopeful.
We ate dinner with Rose, recently returned from the USA and still slightly jet-lagged. After dinner we went to the cinema and watched the latest Indiana Jones movie. (It was pretty much as expected... Enjoyable tosh helped along by an excellent cast, but it's not a film I would recommend!)
After our respective trips it feels like normal life is being resumed, including a garden that requires a fair bit of maintenance. On with the work...
