Surprise View

The view over Derwent Water with Bassenthwaite Lake beyond.

Walked from Keswick to Ashness Bridge and continued a little way towards Wathendath. On the way there is a path off through some woods, ending with this view. Hence its name.

Sunny day with clouds, very pleasant.

Heard my first cuckoo today! Could have been the only one in the Lake District!
