Ordesa

A long, long walk - since I’ve walked all the paths here before I chose the Faja de Pelay a fab balcony walk. I nearly regretted it on the endless ascent to the mirador. But worth the effort and quiet. View back down in main pic. Then at the end it was a rush to the Refugio against impending storms - that luckily didn’t come to anything until after dinner. After a moment’s panic at check in when the girl couldn’t find my booking, all sorted and I’ve a bed for two nights, hot showers and all meals. Decibel level at dinner is astonishing. Flower of the day eidelweiss - the symbol of the park - centerpiece of extra. No signal at Refugio posting this from half way up Monte Perdido.
