Ducks at Mill River

I had been looking forward to the CT Trails Day all week. We met at 10am at Broad Street and Washington Boulevard. Milton and Al came along from the Mill River Collaborative and spent the next two hours taking us through the park explaining about the ecology, the habitat, and what was here before the Collaborative got involved.

We saw ospreys, singing swallows, killdeer and several more of which I can't recall. This really would be a great location for field nature photography lessons, if there were a photographer in town interested in setting one up. I must look into that.

Anyways, Milton pointed out this female duck and her ducklings on the river. Click here to listen to the sound of the water.

Studio session number three followed. We decided to remove the drums on Keep On Walking and replace with French horn and piano. I have the weekend to listen to it before we get together next Friday. After the studio I met up with Paul Larson and we had a great chat after an absence of three weeks. After the Hudson Grille we moved on to The Fez for early dinner. It was here that an elderly gentleman played Cole Porter tunes on the piano.

Today felt like being on vacation :-).
