Happy Henry

This is Houghton Mill. It was a beautiful place but marred by the rather officious National Trust volunteer and his rules (didn’t seem to apply to everyone it seemed) and by the fact that it seemed to be there purely for the water sport enthusiasts despite the fact it was a tiny place and time limited to three hours. Got to get all the paddle boarders in, don’t you know?

Still Henry seemed happy. Happy Henry, I knew it was him by his initials on his life jacket. Very sensible, mustn’t fall in the river and miss precious moments of his three hours.

We didn’t survive the three. But it really was a beautiful place.
