Heavy with calf

A series of camps lie around the corner, along the river. During the day it's here you'll find the milking herd ( a mere eight cows in the Winter months ) and, kept separately, the ladies due to give birth in Spring. I was glad not to find dung all over myself after lying in the grass to take this shot.
