Appropriately Dressed
The plan was to head to Clachan Sands, hopefully for Little Tern. Beforehand we had a wee explore of Bernerey which gave us a few sightings of Little Tern including close views of one fishing by the Sound of Harris Ferry Terminal. So arriving a Clachan Sands with our "tick list" already complete it was just a case of enjoying the walk down this wonderful Hebridean beach, and you can't just walk down a Hebridean beach without having a wee paddle, just as well I was appropriately dressed for the occasion.
Beanie Hat - multi functional - keeps the sun off the bald patch, keeps the head warm and improvises as a towel to dry the feet off. Appropriate layering system to keep warm. Today it was Patagonia Vest, Jack Wolfskin Fleece and Goretex, but most importantly of all, a respectable pair of knickers' Let's face it there's enough embarrassment in exposing a pair of legs like these without making it worse with holey knickers.
Fortunately the legs didn't scare off the Little Terns, so they were well and truly ticked today, we then headed off to Cheesebay where yesterday we'd watched a pair of Golden Eagles and got some dire photos, today we got better views and better photos. Check out RCB's Golden Eagle for you.
