Peto das ánimas

Went for a long walk with dad, following the new path along the old rail tracks to Chapela. Right before the road starts there’s a ‘peto das ánimas’. The idea is you leave a coin as offering to rescue some poor soul from purgatory; when they get to heaven they put in a good word for you. We Galicians love this kind of fun.
