Scarves and Paper Cuts

Strolling along Berwick Street I was drawn to the window of a shop displaying beautiful silk scarves. The door was locked but I waved my camera at the people inside and they opened up so that I could have a quick look. 

Mark Hearld is a skilled artist who produces intricate and vibrant paper cut pictures with painted frames. These are used as the basis for the scarves. They are preparing for a preview show this evening - hurry down to Soho to get a look. 

I wish I had got Mark to move across just a bit. Oh well, he looks very dapper in his smart suit and has a great smile.
