I should know what these are called

Just a shot in the garden while I take a beak from setting up the auto watering system.  It's a bit delayed as there is a part missing from the pack I bought. In the best British tradition I have a carefully crafted botch which I hope will work.

In the mean time the manufactures say they will send me the missing part of course I intend to be floating in the Med by then.
