Vicar’s Close , Wells

We are en route to Dunster nr Minehead and decided to come via Wells to tick off another cathedral. What a gorgeous city, full of medieval buildings. This is Vicar’s Close, built in 1348, the oldest residential street in Europe apparently.

Inside the cathedral was stunning too, again amazing Gothic architecture that really makes you wonder how!
Now in Dunster, Somerset, a medieval village. Tomorrow we’re going to explore the area, but first tonight we’re off out for dinner to celebrate R’s 65th birthday. I keep reminding him he’s officially old now :)
