Day 152

Theme of today cool.

Cool way to wake up in the tin can, to sunshine and spectacular views with me boy.

Cool that it was 9.30 - lie in shocker.

Cool that we played football and ate breakfast of eggs al fresco.

Cool that I managed to pack the awning away- much easier than putting the thing up.

(Un) cool that I got harangued by a mad Chinese woman who thought I had the answers to her camping woes 'how much pay' / 'but you park, must know' / 'why only one shower'. My replies of 'speak to farmhouse' fell on deaf ears, the only escape was to go to the loo.

Cool that I found a route that avoided the sheer incline out of Edale (going down the day before was fun with the Beast's brakes)

Cool that we found Castleton and Speedwell Caverns.

Cool that after donning hardhats (well I did the boy is still short enough) and descending 105 steps we travelled by underground boat to explore lead mines and the natural chambers such as the Bottomless Pit.

Cool after ice cream we had a bit of an explore of Winnats Pass a hugenormous limestone gorge high above Castleton. (blip is of the view back down to the village)

Cool we had an easy van trip home, had much needed showers and feasted on curry and ice cream for tea.

Cool that when asked what he enjoyed the most, the boy replied with 'just spending time together'
