75 years of the NHS

It's the 75th Anniversary of the NHS today.

It is 75 years since my mother came to England from Ireland to train to be a nurse.
These pictures were taken when she was nursing at the Brompton Hospital in the early 1950's. 

It would break her heart to see how horribly stretched the NHS is now.     I do so hope we can keep it going.
