Bit of photography on the beach
My sister in law asked me to take a few photographs of her children on the beach so it was a good chance to practice my fairly non existent portrait skills. To be honest, they weren't that bad!
Key thing was getting people to relax. The shots don't have to be stunning, but some were pretty good.
Also had a chance to capture her daughters near the waters edge, one looking very pensively into the distance. Quickly grabbed my $50 long lens and caught some fabulous photographs of her. She didn't notice me, so that helped I think.
Took 217 photographs, and a good 50-60 will go forward to my final selection.
But I'm most proud of these images of my niece. If I was still entering my work into competitions, then this one stands out.
