Rainbows, Butterflies and Turkeys(?)!
6:00 am ~ gobble, gobble, gobble! I hear it coming from the yard. I get up and go to the kitchen window. There he is, just standing there like he is posing for me. I go for the camera and get a few good shots before he saunters away. Wow, I think, I have my blip for today. What could trump this? The butterfly that has been fluttering about the rhododendrons or even a rainbow could trump the turkey for sure. Such a performance from nature today, all within my own little yard. The butterfly made three appearances and then we got a sudden thunderstorm late in the afternoon. While it was still raining, the sun came out and the rainbow appeared. It faded and came back out three times; a double rainbow as well. What a spectacular show it was.
Today was a very beautiful day in Ashby. Mountain breezes kept the temperature and the humidity very tollerable. Thank you God for days like this. Company is coming tomorrow; maybe today was a dress rehearsal for another spectacular day. (Bringing them to Cathedral in the sky (Cathedral of the Pines)... I love going there and bringing my friends, too!)
