The Bernini Express to Tirano, Italy

Today, we went by coach to Davos Platz then caught a local train to Filisur where we had a quick coffee before we boarded the Bernini Express. This turned out to be a magnificent journey . We stopped at Ospizio Bernini - 2253 M above sea level ! Incredible . The views of the glacier were stunning . Alp Grum was impressive too !
We also passed by the watershed of the Alps - the Lago Bianco where the waters flow into the Adriatic and to the east the waters flow into the Black Sea.
After 4 hours of stunning views which also included idyllic lakes ( plus travelling through the centre of small towns as though on a road ) we arrived in Italy at Tirana . Another highlight was the Brusio Circular Viaduct where the train literally circles itself in a corkscrew - amazing!
We had a quick lunch in Tirana as we only had 2 hours there - we wanted to see one of the ancient palaces - it was certainly worthwhile!
We managed to squeeze in the Palazzo Salis ( seventeenth century ) . It had some impressive architecture and frescoes as well as a very beautiful early Italian style garden - one of the most important in Lombardy . It’s symmetry and structure stood out .There is also an ancient courtyard .
We then returned to Klosters by coach but following the Bernini Pass and stopping at several high altitudes to survey the views.  This included the Fluelapass 2383m ! P managed to find a patch of snow there !
