Sorbus sorbaria

A small shrub in the slope border with fabulous coloured foliage. It spreads by suckering making it easy to contain and to propagate.
A non gardening day which included a shopping trip up the West Coast to Ayr with a lunch at Souters on the way home in the historic village of Kirkoswald. Beautiful lush scenery and coastline all the way made it a most delightful day. A long awaited delivery of a Gingko tree and a Heptacodium made a perfect homecoming.
