The Big Bird.

Bit of a plane-spotting morning today. We were at the Campsie Glen car park above Lennoxtown when the huge Airbus A380 flew over on the approach to Glasgow Airport. What a spectacular sight at just 3000 odd feet ! I was thinking back four years to my last trip to NZ when I flew on one of these via Dubai. A very long flight but extremely comfortable. Some time soon, maybe!
 We also spotted a very much non commercial aircraft. Today’s extra shows a Boeing Poseidon belonging to the RAF. This is one of, I gather, nine aircraft based on the Boeing 737 airliner but packed full of all manner of gadgets and widgets to allow a multitude of different mission types.
