The view from my new room

They don’t call it a room, they prefer the term ‘cell.’ At least it is mine now. Last night I had to share it with a man who was terribly drunk and snored a lot. They don’t turn the light out eiher so I didn’t have the best of sleeps. They took my shoe laces away and as you can see, there are no curtains on the window. I’ve been charged with being a ‘public nuisance.’ I was only having a laugh, but the cashier fainted, the manager blamed me and the rozzers were called. They are not all bad. The desk sergeant suggested that I should settle down with a nice woman, or failing that he recommended a budgerigar as a good companion. I shall be released pending bail. What day is it? I’ve lost all track of time..
