Catching the last of the light
Today did not start entirely as planned - a car related malfunction led to our abandonment of the planned Lake District walk part way along the M6, and returning to Settle with our tail between our legs. However, we'd have missed this had it not happened. An after dinner leg stretch to get the dogs some exercise after having been cooped up in the car with no walk to show for it, resulted in a a view with a brief but beautiful reemergence of the sun. Add to that a profusion of bluebells in Cleatop woods and we didn't feel too hard done by at all in the end.
