found a peanut

I saw movement in the garden at the entry to our neighborhood. At first all I could see was a bushy tail. But then out popped the squirrel with a peanut in its mouth. The question is, did I interrupt it finding the peanut or trying to bury the peanut. Since the nut is so clean looking I am guessing the squirrel was trying to bury its treasure when I interrupted it.
