Hungry teens

It’s been a good year for the blackbirds, they have been feasting on the May bug grubs and still find good nest spots in the dense hedges around the garden. After mowing the lawn the mother took her teens for an outing and they made themselves comfortable on the grass clippings, finding plenty of food in their bedding. A black-birds version of breakfast in bed!
