The Morris Dance Off

Southwell High Street was closed today for the annual visit of various Morris dance groups. There was a great mix with my favourite being this raucous troupe. The energy & noise was quite something.

Lunch at La Parisian was superb.

We arrived at the festival just after 6. Various highlights with Jake Blount from
Washington being a stand out. Also pretty ace hearing Tom Russell playing a couple of Johnny Cash tracks.

The main stage big drawer was Raghu Dixit Project & they were full of energy & excitement playing high octane Indian beats.

Earlier I’d caught a little Martyn Joseph and he played this track. I listened, tears rolling down my cheeks, and thanked the good lord for this moment.
