Tonight on the M25

We spent almost four hours at a standstill. The motorway was closed just past Clackets as a crane had caught fire, and there we sat.
We’d had a lovely day with the grandchildren before that, and were on our way to my parents house for dinner. Our daughter in law had sent them a big piece of chocolate cake, so we knew that we wouldn’t starve if the road remained closed all night!
