The Toy Tree

Had an OK day, doing bits and pieces, and then decided it was time to sort out today's blip. Decided I needed something colourful today!

So I went for this local novelty. This somewhat macabre-looking tree started off with just a few toys in it, that hung there sadly all through the winter months, fighting off wind and snow. Once the snow stopped, the tree started to blossom unusual flowers ... new discarded toys, rescued from the skips returned to the local skip firm - the tree grows in their yard.

I wish I could say that the toys have an awesome view over the train lines that run into East Croydon station, but no - they look out over the road and the local pub.

Who knows how many more toys will be there this time next year!

PS I decided to become a blip member, paid up on the dot of midnight last night, but it won't let me join any new groups. I've contacted blipcentral, but as yet no reply. Any ideas why my membership won't activate, anyone?
